All Eyes On Yass Campaign Unveils a $14 Billion Revenue Plan to Fund Pennsylvania’s Future

“Pennsylvania can’t afford to sit back and wait for disaster.”

PENNSYLVANIA – As budget negotiations heat up in Harrisburg and looming federal cuts threaten many of Pennsylvania’s critical public services, the All Eyes On Yass coalition is unveiling a sweeping revenue platform to raise $14.1 billion annually for Pennsylvania. The Pathway to Prosperity plan lays out commonsense policies to ensure working families aren’t left picking up the tab while billionaires and corporations dodge their fair share in taxes.

From fully funding public schools and affordable housing to expanding public transit and healthcare, the revenue platform charts a clear course for prosperity in Pennsylvania.

Miracle Jones, Director of Policy and Advocacy of 1Hood, said:
“Predatory corporations and billionaires like Elon Musk and Jeff Yass rig the system for the ultra-rich while the rest of us fight for crumbs. Yass, who bankrolls one in three lawmakers in PA, is the real roadblock to us fully funding our schools and fixing our infrastructure. We are handing our politicians a roadmap to stand up to Yass and fight for working people – now we’re asking them to follow it.”

Key proposals in the platform include utilizing unspent COVID relief funds, ending private school tax credits, taxing digital ads, and raising the tax rate for excess wealth targeting stock dividends, royalties, and inherited wealth. The plan also calls for legalizing marijuana and applying the corporate tax rate to financial institutions.

Steve Paul, Executive Director of One PA, said:
“Harrisburg likes to pretend like their hands are tied, but the money is there. Pennsylvania can’t afford to sit back and wait for disaster. This revenue platform lays out real, achievable solutions that would raise over $14 billion to fund what people actually need – schools, transit, housing, and healthcare. The only thing missing is the political courage to act.”

The All Eyes On Yass campaign is calling on Governor Shapiro and the state legislature to reject austerity politics and billionaire special interests and put working people first.
