All Eyes On Yass: Pennsylvania Sees the Threat of Billionaire Power

PENNSYLVANIA – As polls close tonight for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court retention election, Arielle Klagsbrun, Pennsylvania Campaign Director with ACRE and member of the All Eyes On Yass campaign, released the following statement:

“As polls close tonight, one thing is clear: this cycle, billionaire Jeffrey Yass and his web of dark-money groups have been exposed like never before. For four years, the All Eyes On Yass campaign has sounded the alarm on Yass’s pattern of trying to buy outsized influence in PA –  from our public schools to our courts to our state legislature.

“This retention election became a breaking point. Millions of Pennsylvanians learned the truth about how Jeff Yass undermines workers, hoards wealth, and bankrolls elected officials to do his personal bidding. Our coalition helped expose his convoluted network of dark money groups in a way that broke through to people across the state. Community and labor organizations rallied, canvassed and spread the word: our votes and our courts can’t be bought.

“Billionaire power in Pennsylvania is under the microscope and the entire state is watching. We’re done letting billionaires try to push us out of our homes, schools and courts. We’re taking back what belongs to the people, and we’re bringing the fight directly to billionaires who refuse to pay their fair share.”
